EXPERIENCE

Over two decades experience as associate General Counsel and head of IP Group for a Fortune 200 technology development company, SAIC Inc., supervising outside counsel directing litigation on all matters, including dozens of IP litigations, including jury trials, involving over $1 billion in litigation victories.

Developed and managed processes for intellectual property enforcement for SAIC and its partners and subsidiaries, including Telcordia (formerly part of Bell Labs), Network Solutions, Inc. (the original U.S. Domain Name Registrar for the internet) and the National Cancer Institute (under SAIC contract with NIH).

Designed and implemented and oversaw all patent licensing four SAIC.

Developed and managed competitive IP assessment program and infringement avoidance strategies.

Extensive experience successfully negotiating with government and civilian customers, joint venture partners and competitors to protect and retain ownership rights in newly developed IP assets.

Extensive experience mediating hundreds of IP disputes between SAIC customers and subcontractors over 20 years.

Substantially accomplished in all IP related aspects of product and service development, branding and sales activities to best exploit SAIC’s product, service and business markets.
